Pumps
   & Tanks

The Well Pump

A residential well system can be powered by:

  • A jet pump in your house, or
  • A submersible pump in the well

The pump sends water through the water pipe to a water storage tank in your house.

A pitless adapter and a sanitary well cap are installed according to state regulations for easy and sanitary access.

A water storage tank and all necessary controls are installed in the house to make the system work.

The Well Tank

If your water is clean and you're using the right size tank, the average lifespan is approximately 15 years, but the brand and quality of your tank make a huge difference, just like any other major appliance.

If you don't have water or have low pressure

You may have:

  • A worn well pump, or
  • Faulty electrical controls
  • Waterlogged pressure tank

Water Systems Specialties recommends a professional annual water system check-up to reduce potential water outages or well pump/ tank issues. Plus, an annual water bacteria test.
